Danang attractions comprises manmade structures and natural beauty, ranging from centuries-old pagodas, French colonial buildings and gothic-style cathedrals to tranquil beaches, breath-taking mountains, and verdant national parks. If you’re looking to soak up the sun while on vacation, visit Da Nang’s My Khe Beach and Non Noc Beach for fun-filled activities such as swimming and surfing.

CHAM SCULTURES MUSEUM
The Museum’s first building was opened in 1919, but many Cham sculptures collected in Da Nang, Quang Nam and elsewhere were brought to the site over the preceding twenty years. The collection was begun by French archaelogists and experts from L’École Francaise d’Extrême Orient (EFEO). Some artefacts were sent to Paris and others to the Ha Noi and Sai Gon (now Ho Chi Minh City) museums, but many typical objects were left in Tourane (now Da Nang).


MARBLE MOUNTAINS

Marble Mountains are group of five mountains located south of Da Nang that stretched from the coast inland or westward. Each mountain is named after one of the five elements : Water, Metal, Wood, Fire and Earth.Thuy Son (water) is the highest peak in Marble Mountains Danang, Vietnam. Its fascinating beauty has resulted in its development as a major tourist attraction. Today it has turned into a popular tourist resort. The Tam Thai Pagoda is a major tourist attraction here. Carved into the mountains are atone steps that lead both to the Pagoda and the Huyen Khong Cave. This pagoda has an interesting history of its own. Earlier both Hindu and Buddhist gods were paid tribute here. Today it is devoted to Cham deities. The Huyen Khong Cave played an important role during the wars. It was one of the vital bases for the revolutionaries.


MY KHE BEACH

My Khe Beach, Danang, an endless expanse of unspoiled white sand beach, is one of the best beaches in Vietnam. Made famous by the American war (and the TV show), My Khe Beach first rose to fame when its close proximity to Da Nang led to it being used as an R&R destination for American soldiers. This Beach lies a few kilometers to the south of Danang within close range to the Marble Mountains, one of the main sights in Danang.


LINH UNG PAGODA - MONKEY MOUNTAIN

A prominent attraction in Da Nang is Linh Ung Pagoda, which is also set on Son Tra (Monkey) Mountain. The stunning pagoda was built during the 18th century and houses a 67 metre-tall white statue of the Goddess of Mercy, which is set atop a lotus-shaped platform. Hailed is the tallest statue of the deity in Southeast Asia, there are 17 levels within the structure and a total of 21 miniature Buddha sculptures. Entrance to Linh Ung Pagoda is free of charge, though it’s known to get crowded with pilgrimages during special occasions.


BANA HILLS STATION


Located 40 kilometers southwest of Da Nang, Ba Na – Mount Chua is 1,487 meters high above the sea level. Ba Na offers a commanding view of the whole surroundings including Da Nang City, Son Tra Peak and the blue ocean.  Ba Na was found and built into a hill station when the French was looking for a place to get away from the heat of Central Vietnam. There are many French-styled villas are left.In Ba Na, there are four seasons in a day: spring in the morning, summer at noon, autumn in the afternoon, winter in the evening. While months from May to August are the hottest period (up to 38oC) in Central Viet Nam, temperature at Ba Na fluctuates from 17 to 20 degree Celsius, 22-25oC in maximum. It drops down to 15oC at night.
