FULLDAY MEKONG DELTA BY SPEEDBOAT
Considered as the " Rice Bowl " of Vietnam, The Mekong area is the water world that moves to the rhythms of the mighty Mekong, where boats, houses and markets float upon the innumerable rivers, canals and streams that criss-cross the landscape like arteries.
Our day begins with a pick-up at your hotel at 7:00 AM for 1 hour 30 minute on speedboat, very interesting boat ride to the Mekong Delta. During the ride, we will have a light breakfast and you will see many interesting sights that your personal tour guide will be able to explain. The first 20 minutes of our trip by speedboat is an urban city tour through the widest section of Saigon (population of around 10 million) which would take more than 1 hour by car or bus. After the urban area of Saigon there is then a dramatic transition to scenic lush green canals that are typical in the Mekong Delta.
Once we arrive in the Mekong Delta we will begin our excursion visiting a local riverside market, an authentic village with colonial architecture, a local pagoda, various workshops, and narrow lush jungle canals. We are constantly exploring new routes and rarely travel to the same sights twice to make sure that our customers receive a truly unique experience and stay well off the beaten path.
After a morning of exploring, we head to lunch where we will enjoy a traditional Vietnamese meal in a local pagoda. We bring our own chef from Saigon with us to ensure that our lunch is prepared and served at a very high quality.
The ride back to Saigon begins around 2:30 PM and we will arrive around 4:00 PM.
